What People's Say About Place

Tai Pan is truly a hidden gem and one of those local spots that deserves so much more recognition. It’s family-owned and run by a woman and her husband, who is the chef, and you can absolutely feel the care and pride they put into everything they serve. The restaurant itself is quaint, spacious, and surprisingly peaceful. Even though it’s a larger space, it’s quiet and not overwhelming at all, making it a really pleasant place to dine in. I ordered the orange chicken, and it was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, not greasy in the slightest, and without that artificial sweetness you often get elsewhere. The flavors were fresh, balanced, and clearly made with quality ingredients. I’ve had their takeout before and always enjoyed it, but eating the food fresh from the kitchen took it to another level. It was even better in person.

We just moved to the area and have tried many different Asian cuisines. Tai pan was the best priced and the quality of the sesame chicken outshined all the other restaurants near by. The mei fun was super good too. The crab wontons were super fresh and not heavy in fried wrapper. The balance was perfect. One complaint was not enough white rice but that’s an easy fix for next time and didn’t take away from the experience. My husband got the red curry with no to lite spice and they made it just right. We did take away and plan for this to be our go to spot going forward. PS - make it so you can order springs rolls on your website :) I only see it as an add on in the combos

Never fails to give us a great meal. The lovely woman who serves the food is so very gracious and lovely . The food is excellent in this restaurant!!! If you're looking for reasonably priced, delicious Asian cuisine, try this place. They have been in business for 32 years and they certainly deserve support from our community. The atmosphere is relaxing and they do not rush you. What a wonderful change when most restaurants hurry you along . The folks at Tai Pan know the value of a relaxing atmosphere. Thank you!!!

We go to Tai Pan annually on New Years Eve. Occasionally we get take out here as well. The owners are hard-working people. The food is tasty and we have never had to wait for a table. It would be nice if more people supported this restaurant.

The service is consistently friendly, attentive, and fast, whether dining in or ordering takeout. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a great place for both family dinners and casual get-togethers. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size, and you can tell they take pride in their food. Overall, Tai Pan is a gem in Clifton Park. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic, fresh, and satisfying Chinese cuisine!

Fantastic place for Thai/Chinese food We came in and was greeted by a very nice old lady. She sat us immediately and gave us water, tea, and crackers (all free by the way). When we ordered she gave my fiance a soup on the house. When we left she gave us an extra helping of rice for free too. She was so nice and sweet! Our food came out quickly and tasted awesome. We ordered the dim sum sampler for an appetizer. For the main course we had the crunchy shrimp with curry noodles and a crunchy shrimp and scallops. The shrimp was huge and was super crispy without being greasy. Food wasn't too spicy. Both meals came with a lot. Prices were around average, maybe slight above average for certain dishes, but the taste, volume, and service makes it worth it. The establishment is large with high ceilings with authentic asian decorations. Very nice atmosphere. We came on a Sunday at 3:30 and it was pretty much empty, but we came at an odd time i guess. They do order out I believe. All in all a great place for Asian food. Maybe a tad expensive but worth it for the tasty food, great service, and large servicing sizes.

Food was amazing. Family and I have tried to find similar style food all around the area and havent liked anything as much as this place.

I enjoyed the food from Tai Pan in Clifton Park NY. Inside the restaurant looks very unique with it's Chinese influence and touch that makes you feel like you're back in China or visiting for the first time. I want to mention first about the inside decor which has decorations around the area and has a distinct value showing Chinese history and connection to the food eaten. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the wonton soup which was delicious for the stomach as an appetizer. The meal I ordered was Indonesian Chicken Rendang was a delicious meal. It reminded me of Haitian joumu joumu soup, expect it came with rice, and went well with it. It was packed with healthy vegetables and is a nice to meal to eat at the end of a long days work.
